A GMA-7 insider tells PEP that Angel Locsin has not yet been offered to play the title role in Marimar. Therefore, technically speaking, she has not yet turned it down because there was no offer in the first place.

Tumawag ang isang GMA-7 insider sa PEP to comment about this.

Ikalawa, kung may mapipili ngang gaganap bilang Marimar and it won't be Angel, hindi siya magiging replacement lang ni Angel dahil hindi pa nga ito na-offer sa top female star ng Kapuso Network.

Pinatunayan din ng nakausap namin na may ginagawa ngang audition ngayon for the Marimar role, pero upon invitation lang—meaning hindi open audition ang ginagawa. Pawang mga top actresses lang ng GMA-7 ang pinaga-audition and among the names we heard were Jennylyn Mercado, Nadine Samonte, and Katrina Halili.

In-open din ng GMA-7 ang audition for some ABS-CBN stars and we heard Rica Peralejo is interested. Pero as of this writing, hindi pa siya nag-a-audition.
