Ayon kay Shamcey, “Ang lagi ko namang advice, you know, there’s always gonna be pressure, and I think you use that to your advantage.

“Because at least, dahil may pressure, ibig sabihin, maraming rooting for you.

“So, ibig sabihin, since yung attention nila is nasa ‘yo, meaning, they really care about your performance there and you can take it as an advantage.

“Na parang to make you work harder and just do your best, hindi naman ikaw yung judge, so it’s not really in your hands!

“But, just do what you can and make the Philippines proud and, no matter what, you’re already a queen.”

Nakapanayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Shamcey sa birthday party ni Nathan Lee, ang bunsong anak nila ni Lloyd Lee, nitong October 3, Huwebes, sa One Shangri-La Place Residences, San Juan City.

HERE OR ABROAD

"But ako, ang mas gusto ko, sa ibang bansa, not because ayoko na magkaroon ng you know, parang sasabihin if it’s in the Philippines, mas mahirap manalo,

"But mas masaya pag nanonood sa ibang bansa, e!

“Kasi pag dito, ang aga kasi! Di ba, 6 A.M.?

"Kasi pag Asia, ang hirap, like nung sa Bangkok, parang 5 A.M., di ba?

“So parang... naaawa ako sa girls! Kasi, kahit tayo nga, pagod na tayo, what more sila? Nagre-rehearse sila, dire-diretso, walang tulog.

“Unlike doon sa akin, Brazil, parang 10 P.M. yung start nung pageant namin, so, di ba? Parang mas okay? Mas relaxed.

"Kaya kung ako, kung ako yung nasa shoes niya, mas gusto ko na nasa area, like, either sa US part, or any part na medyo gabi or hapon yung pageant.

“Huwag yung madaling araw, kasi mahirap.”

FROM BEAUTY QUEEN TO TV HOST

“Alam mo, sobra akong happy whenever I see them on the TV screen, na parang, ‘Oh! Grabe!’

“Grabe yung transformation nila from beauty queen now to acting.

“And ako naman, ever since, I was always honest about it na hindi talaga ako into acting or show business.

“But I still do a lot of hosting gigs, mga anything about pageants and talking, I do inspirational and mga personality development talks.

“So I think that’s my strength and that’s where I focus.

"So, sa acting talaga, parang feeling ko, I’m at that age na I don’t wanna try it anymore!” at tumawa si Shamcey.
