Buong tweet ni Agot: “This is not fair. Why punish everyone for the sins of a few?
“Marami ang nangangailangan ng medical assistance. This is not right.”
JIMMY PENS OPEN LETTER FOR AGOT
“This message comes with sincere and utmost respect for you as a Filipina woman, and as one who seems to have strong beliefs regarding our nation, regardless of partisanship.
“I was informed that you expressed strong criticism about our temporary stoppage of accepting walk-in requests for medical assistance.
“Instead of a long reply, I thought it best to simply enumerate just 2 important points and developments.
“First and foremost, due to the quick response of all concerned agencies, we are now receiving walk-in requests again, provided that they have been verified by the PCSO.
“This is not red tape, uunahan na kita. This is based on many legal reasons.
“But like I said, I would rather keep it short. Feel free to read the PCSO and PAGCOR charters, which are available online.
“Second, I would just like to share a personal wish. I wish that more people as smart and as influential as you would be more active regarding governance. Believe it or not, your opinions are very welcome.”
“However, I also wish that more people as capable as you would engage in government work, even for a limited period only.
“I'm not sure of your work history, if you have already been employed in a plantilla position, or if you've ever been elected.
“If not, then I think you should try it. I really believe that that is the only way for people like you and people like me to understand each other better.”
JIMMY TO AGOT: "MOST OF YOU COMMENTS ARE WRONG..."
Sabi ni Jimmy, “I really wanted to avoid saying this, but I must. Most of your comments are wrong, but they are not wrong because you are stupid, contrary to what many of your critics say. I know you are smart.
“But mam, you truly are extremely misinformed due to what seems to be a very sheltered existence. But I may be wrong.
“You criticize the temporary stoppage as if it was done to persecute the putative donees, but I am willing to bet that you have no idea as to what our charter actually mandates us to perform, and what particular resolutions and orders define our socio-civic function.
“Basta mo na lamang kaming hinusgahan. Which is fine. But you did not even think of the consequences that your statement could have created, had we not been quick enough to resume operations today.
“And I hope you don't claim credit for this, for your 'vigilance.'
"We did not reopen for people like you.
“We reopened out of a sense of duty, and after much deliberation and investigation. Besides, I have just learned of your opinion this morning, long after we have decided to resume.”
Lahad pa niya, “It was a difficult weekend, and it was a sleepless weekend. We had to make sure we could resume, without sacrificing the integrity of our system.
“We had to make sure that it was an isolated case. We had to coordinate over the phone with PCSO (highly unorthodox but not disallowed), para lang makasigurado na hindi kami madadayang muli.
“We did not wait for Monday to decide. Because this function is imbued with heavy public interest, we acted accordingly. It is as simple as that.
“Ang hirap dito sa gobyerno, Mam. Again, maybe you have already been here. I don't really know. Wikipedia only talks about your educational background in Fashion, but nothing about public service. Kindly just correct me if I'm wrong.
“Our department is corruption-free.”
JIMMY CHALLENGES AGOT TO SERVE IN THE GOVERNMENT
“I don't know what stories you've heard. But you can ask our common friends in showbiz. Friends we both trust.
“They ALL know na hindi ako yumaman dito, at alam nila na madami na kaming napaganda sa serbisyong bayan ng PAGCOR.
“I am proud of that, and I will continue to be proud of that despite your statements.
“Sana talaga, makapag trabaho ka sa gobyerno. Kahit isang taon lang.
“You, and people like you, should really step into these waters, if only for your personal growth.
“I have grown a lot here, and I wish the same for others. You should really try it, because it will make you a better person, in my opinion.
“Because for now, I don't think you are a horrible person. But because of your lack of experience in agency work in the public sector, you end up saying horrible things.
“It doesn't make you a horrible person. But it makes you a dangerous one, and a very discouraging one as well, especially to well-meaning government employees which exist in any administration.
“Anyway, I expect you to completely disregard this post since you are a very famous and well-connected individual.
“May I reiterate the respect that I have painstakingly accorded you through the careful wording of this message.
“But this message is really for everyone, so that more people would know that we are working hard."
Dagdag ni Jimmy, “Truthfully, I cannot wait for President Duterte's term to conclude, so that I may retire alongside my boss.
“We are tired, and even the President has admitted his illnesses, aggravated by the thankless nature of public service.
"2 years from now, I will be back on a beach somewhere, and enjoy some red wine and music again outside the harsh light of public scrutiny.
“Kakanta ako ng 'Everyday' by Agot Isidro, because that was really a cool song.
I will still retire. Because I think my health is deteriorating rapidly.
"Look at my picture from this morning!
"I keep realizing that I now look like an old man.
In fact, I challenge you.
"I respectfully challenge you. If you accept, I will personally ask my bosses if we could endorse you to an office that you are qualified for.
"After a year, I am almost sure that you would be kinder, slower to anger and judgment, and perhaps, more enlightened as a human being.
