Naka-recover na sa COVID-19 si Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri.

Inanunsiyo ni Zubiri ang magandang balita sa kanyang Facebook account ngayong Easter Sunday, April 11.

Pahayag ng 50-year-old senator (published as is):

"Today we celebrate Easter Sunday as the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

"As a day of Thanksgiving i would also like to thank God and our Lord for a second chance in my life by healing me from Covid 19.

"Just received the happiest news ever of my second Negative result from the Makati City health office. Which is a requirement for all Covid positive patients to be considered recovered."

Pinasalamatan din ni Zubiri sina Dr. Paz Corrales ng Department of Health (DOH) at Wheng Hetrosa ng Makati City Health "for taking care of me."

Kalakip ng kanyang mensahe ang kopya ng resulta ng laboratory tests niya mula sa Research Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM).

Noong March 16, inanunsiyo ni Senator Zubiri na positibo siya sa COVID-19. Siya ang unang malaking politiko sa Pilipinas na alam nating nagpositibo sa virus.

Kalaunan ay tinamaan din ng COVID-19 ang mga kapwa niya senador na sina Koko Pimentel at Sonny Angara.

Naka-recover na rin si Angara, habang wala pang balita tungkol kay Pimentel.

Pinaiimbestigahan si Pimentel sa paglabag nito sa COVID-19 quarantine.

Ayon sa DOH, as of 4 p.m. ngayong April 12, mayroon nang kabuuang 4,648 confirmed COVID-19 cases; 197 na ang naka-recover, at 297 naman ang namatay.
