“This was an assault against the ideals and the values we hold dear.

“Shutting down a media company when the world is reeling from a killer disease that has yet to find a cure.

“Depriving millions of their source of news and information, putting the jobs of thousands in jeopardy. And just days after we celebrated World Press Freedom Day?!”

Aniya, “I feel for our colleagues and friends all over the country.

“And I will fight for our staff and crew and our journalists who continue to do their jobs despite tremendous challenges and risks to their health and personal safety.

“We are #abscbn and this is our calling! Stay strong and be brave!

“We may be off the air but we will not be silenced. #notoabscbnshutdown #defendpressfreedom

Tanong pa nito kay Reyes: “First of all, how will you explain all the irregularities your company has done for so many years?”

Sabi ng netizen: "Just give an explanation!

Give your employees of what they deserve! #paawaeffect"

Maikling sagot dito ni Ging: “you’re entitled to your opinion but leave my feed.”

Bintang pa ng netizen: “We all know that all Senators and Congressmen your network supported during Elections are working non-stop to fix the issue!

“We all know that!”

Pinabulaanan ito ng veteran broadcast journalist.

Pahayag ni Reyes: "that isn’t true. Our news organization does its job independently."

Sabi pa niya, “All of us have the freedom to choose where to get our information.

"It is a fact that abs-cbn has millions of loyal viewers.

“It is a fact that we provide an essential service to the public.”

SPELL HUMILITY

Komento nito: “#gingreyes you really do not know how to spell humility?”

Mahinahong sagot ni Reyes: “that is not the issue.

“I am not an arrogant person.

“We remind ourselves and everyone working here to be humble, respectful and fair at all times.

“But humility does not mean giving up your principles or giving in to pressure. Thank you.”
