Sure, there is a lockdown on her career and her personal life, but Rhian Ramos is not complaining.

"I think it would be improper if magreklamo ako. I have a roof over my head, nakakakain naman ako nang maayos, kumpleto ang tulog ko."

Rhian said this to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press in an interview last Friday, May 16.

But she can't help but feel overwhelmed by the changes in her work schedule and lifestyle.

She says, "Siyempre, malaki siyang change sa usual life ko, which is showbiz. You see hundreds of people every day sa taping.

"Hundreds yung nakakausap mo every day. At saka marami kang nakikilalang bagong tao araw-araw.

Except, Rhian still rues not seeing mom Clara Ramos and sister Nadine Howell.

The Kapuso actress reveals, "I’m here in Taguig with my boyfriend. My sister is in Makati with her husband, and my mom is in Alabang with herself."

Rhian is currently in a relationship with businessman Amit Borsok.

Does Rhian talk with her mom and her sister every day?

"Not every day but I talk to my mom more often, and then my sister maybe once a week or a week and a half."

More than anything, Rhian says she feels more at ease knowing her family is only a few kilometers away, unlike when she was living in New York City.

She remembers, "Nung nasa New York ako, nagkaroon ng malaking earthquake dito, 'tapos alam mo yung feeling lang na hindi mo alam yung situation doon, and I’m worried with my family, tapos umiyak ako.

"Wala pa akong balita, wala pang nagrereply sa text ko, so yun yung stress.

"So ngayon, nasa iisang time zone lang tayo so madali lang kamustahin yung pamilya ko."

Rhian is also among the many celebrities giving donations to organizations helping poor communities survive the CoVid 19 crisis.

But lately, she's been hands-on with a simple charity project that she started.

"Dun ako nagbi-birthday kasi every year, so just to make sure na okay sila.

Madalas gatas at saka diaper.

Among the beneficiaries of Rhian's donations are RockEd Philippines, which provides food for hospital staff around Metro Manila.

People for Accountable Governance and Sustainable Action, a civil society organization that provides food packs for minimum-wage workers and their families.

And
Zero Hunger Pilipinas, a youth-led organization that reaches out to 10,000 families affected by the pandemic.
