Who are the congressmen who will decide the fate of ABS-CBN?

ABS-CBN President & CEO Carlo Katigbak appeals to Kapamilya supporters: "If you believe our service to be important and valuable to you, and if you believe that ABS-CBN is deserving to continue providing that service, please let your thoughts and feelings be heard."

Nakasalalay sa kamay ng 46 na kongresista ang kapalaran ng ABS-CBN.

Nasa kanila kung bibigyan ang network ng panibagong prangkisa o hindi.

Kabilang ang mga kongresistang ito sa House committee on legislative franchises, katuwang ang committee on good government and public accountability, na dumidinig sa franchise renewal bills ng Kapamilya network.

Ang chairperson ng committee on legislative franchises ay si Palawan 1st District Representative Franz Alvarez.

Kabilang sa komiteng ito sina Abraham Tolentino (Cavite, 8th District), Antonio Albano (Isabela, 1st District), Jose Antonio Sy-Alvarado (Bulacan, 1st Dustrict), Jose Tejada (North Cotabato, 3rd District), Faustino Michael Dy (Isabela, 5th District), Cyrille Abueg-Zaldivar (Palawan, Second District)...

Kabilang sa vice chairpersons ng komite sina Cavite Seventh District Representative Jose Crispin Remulla at ANAKALUSUGAN Partylist Representative Michael Defensor.

Sina Remulla at Defensor ang gumigisa nang husto sa ABS-CBN sa ginagawang pagdinig sa Kongreso.

Ngunit hindi kabilang ang kanilang komite sa boboto sa franchise renewal ng ABS-CBN.

Sa Lunes, July 6, nakatakda ang huling araw ng pagdinig.

Pagkatapos nito ay magbobotohan na ang mga kongresista: bibigyan ba o hindi ng panibagong prangkisa ang Kapamilya network?

Ngunit may lumulutang na usapang baka ngayong Biyernes, July 3, ay magbotohan na at hindi na paabutin ng Lunes.

Kaugnay nito, isang statement ang ibinahagi ni ABS-CBN President & CEO Carlo Katigbak para sa mga tagasuporta ng network.

Humihiling siya ng dasal at suporta upang malampasan ang kinahaharap na balakid.

Mensahe ni Katigbak, "I would like to thank everyone who has encouraged us, prayed for us, and given us hope over these past few weeks.

"Your message has have given us strength as we go through this difficult process.

"We are hopeful that the hearings will soon come to a close, and we would like to lean you again for your support and prayers."

Nanawagan din si Katigbak sa mga naniniwala sa ABS-CBN na iparinig ang kanilang saloobin at nararamdaman.

"We have always considered ABS-CBN first and foremost a public service. You are our reason for being.

"If you believe our service to be important and valuable to you, and if you believe that ABS-CBN is deserving to continue providing that service, please let your thoughts and feelings be heard.

"Thank you always to you, our dearest Kapamilya," pahayag niya.
