“I was supposed to be in Australia from February 15 to March 20. So, literally, eighteen days after Dahlia was born.

“And I was supposed to do two-weeks, two-weeks, back and forth, until Dahlia and Anne move back to the Philippines.

"So, that was the plan," lahad ni Erwan sa Facebook Live interview niya sa Monster Radio RX 93.1 noong October 23.

Kuwento ni Erwan, “I remember having a conversation with them end [of] March, and still unsure of what exactly what was happening.

“We’re still going back and forth, ‘Oh, yeah, I’ll figure out a flight. I’ll just delay it for one month.’

"And I think, when April hit, the whole world started going into chaos.

“That’s when we realize, at this point, there is no reasoning... there would be no logical reasoning behind trying to plan coming home anytime soon.”

COVID-19 CASES IN AUSTRALIA

Paliwanag ni Erwan, “And we thought since the cases here weren’t rising as aggressively, we thought maybe the lifestyle Dahlia could have here would probably be better.

“But then, Australia followed suit, in the sense, that we’ve basically been in lockdown since April here.”

As of October 28, mayroon nang higit 27,000 cases sa Australia.

“We’ve been in ECQ since April and it let down, maybe... I think it was four weeks in July, and we got back to strict lockdown.

“So, we haven’t been able to leave the house during that whole time.”

“Whereas in the Philippines, the people, if they want to go to the beach, they can go to the beach.

"If they want to go to the province, they can go to the province.

“Here, it’s really, like, you stay in your city in a five-kilometer-hamster wheel, so it’s been intense.”

ERWAN FOCUSED ON RAISING DAHLIA

“In the beginning, when you’re fully focused on a human being, that she absolutely takes over your whole life.

“For me, the last almost eight months, I felt like three weeks, since you usually measure your years based on the events that happened during a year.”

“For me, the big, momentous we’ve had is Dahlia in March.

“And March to now, it’s been no big thing, no plans, no vacations, no nothing.

"So, it really felt like a blink. It’s insane."
