Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray to Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade, Jr: “If there’s an intention to protect, it should be done in a certain way, because I feel like the way that it was done did not achieve what he intended to do. I feel like it would have been better if it would have been contacted to their camps or to the individual persons."

New People’s Army (NPA).

“Just last night po, General Parlade reached out personally to myself to personally apologize for dragging my name into this issue,” sinabi ni Catriona nang ma-interview siya sa ANC news program na Headstart nitong Miyerkules ng umaga, October 28.

Dagdag niya, “I appreciate that he really reached out because it gave me clarification on my end also from the surprise that I felt.

“I do appreciate him taking that initiative.”

NEVER WORKED WITH GABRIELA

“And with all respect to General Parlade and also to the Gabriela group, I have not done any project or activities with them,” sabi niya.

Dati ring ambassadress ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) si Catriona.

“IT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE BETTER”

“If there’s an intention to protect, it should be done in a certain way, because I feel like the way that it was done did not achieve what he intended to do as he says he intended to do.

“I feel like it would have been better if it would have been contacted to their camps or to the individual persons.

“Because as we can see, the way that it all unfolded, he says his intention was to warn, however it makes a lot of concern within the community.

“So just I feel like it could have been done better.”

REMINDER TO SOCIAL MEDIA USERS

Patuloy ni Catriona, “The takeaway is, I wish people would take care, no matter if you’re a government official, a public servant, in the entertainment industry or wherever work you find yourself, it is very important in this age of misinformation to really be careful of the information you take as truth and also to really research and fact-check before making public statements.”

LIZA, ANGEL DENY PARLADE’S ACCUSATIONS

SENATE TO PROBE RED-TAGGING

“We will also invite Gabriela and other militant groups para maliwanagan natin saan nag-uugat ang misunderstanding and conflict pagdating sa red-tagging,” sinabi ni Lacson sa Senate reporters ngayong Huwebes.
