Miss Universe PH first runner-up Ysabella Ysmael thanks aunt Margie Moran for supporting her pageant journey

Feeling blessed si Miss Parañaque City Ysabella Ysmael dahil sa “strong support system” ng pamilya niya sa kanyang beauty pageant journey.

Si Ysabella, 23, ang itinanghal na first runner-up sa grand coronation ng Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant noong October 25.

Hindi man niya nakuha ang titulo, buo naman ang suportang nakuha niya mula sa kanyang pamilya, lalo na sa tiyahin niyang si Margie Moran.

Si Margie ang itinanghal na Miss Universe noong 1973.

Si Margie ang ikalawang Miss Universe titleholder ng Pilipinas, kasunod ni Gloria Diaz noong taong 1969.

Ang dalawa pang Pinay Miss Universe winners ay sina Pia Wurtzbach (2015) at Catriona Gray (2018).

Noong Linggo, November 8, nagkasama sina Ysabella at Margie, at mga magulang ni Ysabella, sa isang family lunch na ginanap sa Manila House Private Members Club, Taguig City.

Ibinahagi ni Ysabella sa kanyang Instagram account ang ilang kuha mula sa kanilang lunch, kabilang na ang larawan nila ng kanyang Tita Margie.

Sabi ni Ysabella sa caption, hindi niya maaabot ang kanyang mga pangarap sa buhay kung wala ang suporta ng mga kamag-anak niya.

Aniya, “Reaching dreams won’t be possible without a strong support system.

“I’m blessed with a family that supports me and believes in me. They keep me motivated and grounded.

“Had a great Sunday lunch with my family and the ever iconic Miss Universe 1973, Tita @margie_moran. Always an honor.”

Nagbahagi rin ng kaparehong mga larawan si Margie sa kanyang Instagram account.

Sabi ng former Miss Universe sa caption, proud siyang makasama ang first runner-up ng Miss Universe Philippines.

Pagkatapos ng grand coronation ng Miss Universe Philippines 2020, sinabi ni Margie na ang pamangkin niya ang kanyang "Champion" sa ginanap na national beauty pageant.

Saad niya sa kanyang post sa Instagram noon, "The first runner up is my Champion. Ysabella Roxas Ysmael.

"You were a stand out but the purpose designed for you is greater than you can imagine."

Kasunod nito, nagbahagi ng quote si Margie na halaw sa sinabi ng Zimbabwean Canada-based author na si Matshona Dhliwayo: "'A star does not compete with other stars around it. It just shine.'"

Pagtatapos pa niya, "We love you for who you are. #missuniversephilippines2020"

SUPPORTIVE PRINCESS

Naging matagumpay ang kauna-unahang Miss Universe Philippines sa ilalim ng Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPO).

Ang kandidata mula sa Iloilo City na si Rabiya Mateo ang itinanghal na Miss Universe Philippines 2020.

Si Ysabella na mula sa Parañaque ang 1st runner-up, si Michele Gumabao ng Quezon City ang 2nd runner-up, si Pauline Amelinckx ng Bohol ang 3rd runner-up, at si Billie Hakenson ng Cavite ang itinanghal na 4th runner-up.

May alingasngas mang nangyari matapos ang pageant, mapapansing tahimik lamang si Ysabella at hindi nakikiangkas sa isyu.
