"Focus po talaga muna ako on building my career here in the U.S.
Saad niya, "Hindi naman ako pressured o naiinggit kasi alam kong mahirap din to be parents, at I don't think ready ako sa ganung life right now.”
Inspired si Frencheska sa pinu-pursue niyang career sa U.S. dahil sa kanyang pagkapanalo sa The Micheaux Film Festival (in Los Angeles), last May, as Outstanding Dramatic Actress for the short film Harana.
Heto ang post ni Frencheska via Instagram:
“What an amazing experience! #Harana was awarded Outstanding Music and I won Outstanding Dramatic Actress at the #micheauxfilmfestival!!!
"Thank you to @micheauxfilmfest for this recognition, really means so much for me to be able to share our stories and not only to be able to move people through our art, but also to spark change for the betterment of all.
"Thank you to my Harana family, our director @marie_jamora, producers @matthewkeenesmith & Jason Mclagan for trusting me and believing in me.
"To my family, friends, and everyone who has supported me from the beginning, you know who you are, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.
"This is dedicated to the Filipino people and everyone fighting the good fight. Keep shining your light! Beyond grateful. I LOVE YOU ALL
"huge thanks to @hornginator for these photos "
Sabi niya, "Our film Harana was already selected for different film festivals in the U.S. and Canada, but it was my first nomination and win as an outstanding dramatic actress at the Micheaux Film Festival.
"When I was still in Manila, I was part of Chito Roño's film, Emir, and I was also nominated and awarded as best actress noong 2009. But Micheaux is my first international nomination and win.
"It was unbelievable at siyempre nakakatuwa at nakaka-motivate to know that people appreciate our work.
"I am very grateful sa experience hindi lang dahil isa sa mga pangarap ko ang makatungtong sa world stage and to be able to work with world class talent, but also because I got to meet people in the industry and to be honest, ma-nominate lang is already a huge achievement for me."
"I am currently producing a comedy web series about Filipino immigrants living in LA. I'm also gonna be acting in this project.
"Personal project ko po ito because I wanted to share my personal journey about moving abroad, the struggles, learnings, and personal growth during the process, and of course alam kong creating makes me happy, so why not produce my own show.
Ilan sa mga naging shows ni Frencheska noon sa GMA-7 ay BandaOke: Rock n' Roll To MIllions, SOP, Sana Ngayong Pasko, Party Pilipinas, Captain Barbell: Ang Pagbabalik, Kokak, One True Love, Bukod Kang Pinagpala, Sunday All-Stars, Binoy Henyo, Innamorata, Second Chances, Pari 'Koy, Because of You, Just Duet, at Maynila.
