Isabella "Lala" Vinzon, daughter of veteran action star Roi Vinzon recalls how she was traumatized as a kid after watching her dad being killed in some of the movies he starred in back in the day: “Dahil nga kontrabida, lagi siyang pinapatay sa mga pelikula.

Lahad ni Lala, “My life before was all about music and songwriting and ngayon parang gusto ko pong pasukin yung acting which is close to my heart because of my dad. Through him, I witnessed the value and discipline of an actor and I wanna apply it to myself."

LALA CITES HER DAD AS BIGGEST INFLUENCE

“But then, once I learned about his work, mas lalo akong humanga, not only because of his talent but also because of him having close relationship with the people around him. Doon po ako mas saludo sa kanya.

“So, maybe one of the reasons why I entered showbiz is because just the attitude that we need to apply as actors, we can be a good role model not only sa mga ginagampanan nating roles, but we are obliged to be a better person for the people who are rooting for us.”

LALA PROUD OF DAD'S HUMBLE WAYS

Like to live in the province, kapag mag-aaral hindi laging naka-service. Minsan naglalakad lang ako pauwi from school.

LALA CHERISHES DAD'S FULL SUPPORT TO HER SHOWBIZ CAREER

Pero knowing si Papa, kung gaano siya ka-supportive noon sa akin, alam ko na he will always be there for me now that I want to be in his world, which is acting."

LALA WEIGHS IN ON PROS AND CONS OF HAVING A CELEBRITY DAD

Pahayag niya, “It's an advantage because parang nilagay na sa bag mo yung ugali, talent, at yung creativity ng isang artista.

“It becomes a disadvantage because of pressure at yung isipin ng mga tao nakuha mo yung mga projects because of your dad. Kaya nag-audition din po ako kasi parang natatamaan yung ego mo as an artist. Na-challenge ako doon, which is also good for me. I’m thankful but also pressured in a good way.”
