"We're getting too old, I'm getting old. I'm not getting any younger, neither is he.

"I was thirteen when I met him. Thirteen years wasted, seven years since I've talked to him...

"I'm twenty-six. It means I've only been seeing him or spending time with him for six years of my life, and that's sad," saad ni Diego.

"As we get older, I just wanna spend time with the people that I love. If they wanna be a part of my life, my door is always open. Basta mutual.

"Let's say mayroon akong naging kaaway noon, never na kaming nag-usap. One of these days, makasalubong ko siya ulit, gusto niya na mag-usap na uli, okay.

"Basta okay ako, okay sa kanya. Basta walang masasaktan, okay."

DEALING WITH PAST ISSUES BASED ON ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS TEACHING

"It's part of the Twelve Steps," tukoy niya sa nanumbalik na magandang relasyon nila ni Cesar.

"Anybody who's watching this, one of the Twelve Steps is to make amends with your past if it doesn't affect anybody in the process.

"It's a thing from rehab. I also have it in AA, Alcoholics Anonymous.

"It's a type of program that people take when they need to take it for whatever reasons."

"Yeah, I wanted to come home na lahat okay na, lahat naplansta na, wala nang kulubot-kulubot, wala nang problema as much as possible.

"Although, I know you never run out of problems. It's part of life. It's up to you. You don't learn if you don't have problems, you know.

"You don't learn if you don't make mistakes either. But you do have the decision na tambayan yung problema or hanapan mo ng solusyon. Yun, it's on you."

"I'm happy. I'm not a perfect person, I'm not a perfect son, I'm not a perfect brother to my sisters, but every day, I try to be.

"When I see my mom saying she's proud of me, it affirms me. If my tita says she's proud of me, it affirms me.

"When my dad says he's proud of me, it affirms me."

valuable lessons from u.s. trip

"It was great, I love it! I went around the East Coast and the West Coast, and I had the time of my life.

"Disneyland was nice. I met a family, she watched kanina, si Tita Myrna. She's from L.A. She has a son and a daughter that became my best friends.

"I went to New York first, I called up an old high school friend, Shaun. It was fun catching up with him.

"Even if he lives in New Jersey, we discovered New York together.

Yeah, may Uber pero I walked around a lot," lahad ni Diego.

"It was something very life-changing.

"Dun, parang wala silang problema, di sila nagma-mask. Parang walang COVID, wala silang pakialam.

"You got to see the world from a different perspective."
