Pasay City's Celeste Cortesi is the new Miss Universe Philippines!
The coronation night was held tonight, April 30, 2022, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.
Miss Universe 2021 titleholder Beatrice Luigi Gomez passed the crown to Celeste during the coronation night.
Michelle Dee of Makati City was hailed Miss Universe Philippines Tourism while Pauline Amelinckx of Bohol was crowned Miss Universe Philippines Charity.
Misamis Oriental’s Annabelle Mcdonnell placed first runner-up while Maria Katrina Llegado of Taguig City won second runner-up.
As Miss Universe Philippines 2022, she gets to wear a brand-new crown.
According to reports, the crown dubbed as "La Mer en Majesté" is worth PHP3 million.
This is the first time that Miss Universe Philippines had a live pageant open to the public, after its first two coronation nights in 2020 and 2021.
Prior to the coronation night, the pageant's preliminary competition is scheduled to happen on April 27, 2022, at The Cove Manila.

After the Top 16 candidates went through the swimsuit and long gown competition, they were narrowed down to Top 10.

Five candidates were then chosen after the first round of the question-and-answer portion with the pageant hosts.
The Top 5 chosen candidates then faced the judges for a final Q&A round.
