Narito ang pahayag ni Kakie: "Sabi ng iba, we have to accept defeat daw. Na hindi raw tayo marunong matalo.

"I think that the truth is it's not about the election anymore, e.

"I think that the data shows clearly that this election was bought a long, long time ago.

"And that's something that we will not take sitting down, 'no?

"I am not going to have my president be named Ferdinand Marcos again, ever. I think it's that simple," mariin at seryosong pahayag ni Kakie.

"My siblings are here, too. I brought them—my baby sister, my baby brother, and they're young and we all know. We all know what's right and wrong.

"I think it's very, very simple what we have to do.

"If we're not going to stand up, if we're not going to fight, e, di ano pang ginagawa natin dito sa Pinas? Mahal natin ang Pilipinas, e.

"I think at the core of it, that's really just it."

KAKIE: "THE WORK DOES NOT END HERE"

Tweet ni Kakie: "i may never understand how things came to be but i will never forget the very distinct brand of love this election bred in each and every single one of our hearts.

"my emotional range has been and continues to be tested to extreme lengths but if one thing is certain, it is that everything has changed.

"i feel it bone-deep, i’m sure you do too. and regardless of results—the work does not end here."

KAKIE ON DAD KIKO'S VP CANDIDACY

Ang series of tweets ni Kakie (published as is): "it hit him, and therefore us, incredibly hard, but we never once lost faith. he carried himself with integrity throughout the campaign and thereafter, the way he’s done for all his life.

"i watched for six years as they dirtied his name, destroyed his reputation, and made even us doubt him and his work on occasion.

"i cannot begin to explain how terrified i’ve been all this time. everyday i got new rape threats, death threats, and at times i caught myself

"doubting everything—morally, emotionally, physically. and for a kid coming-of-age, and then a new adult, stuff like that is extremely painful especially when coupled with public spectacle.

"i don’t know how i feel, because the truth is we’ve been grieving this whole time."

Sunud-sunod na tweet niya rin (published as is): "the world stopped. time froze. i begged him, tearfully, to wait six years, to give us time to prepare, to properly form some strategy that would spare his heart, but even then the breath hitched in my throat.

"i knew we could wait six years, but the philippines could not.

"this shit (forgive me pls, it’s election day) hurts so deeply. it’s personal, as well as political.

"there are friends i cannot forgive. family i cannot speak to straight. i can’t stand the idea of watching the slow death of my country should we happen to elect the alternative

"but nowadays i look at my dad and i have to suppress the urge to burst into tears. i miss him before he’s even gone.

"i think i always have, but now it’s clearer than ever that he was never really mine or ours (his family’s) to begin with."
