Nadine Samonte admits she feels sad that some of her fellow StarStruck batchmates are not as visible like her in showbiz today. And for those who remain to have a career, Nadine says, "Natutuwa ako sa iba kasi at least... katulad ni Sheena [Halili] nabigyan siya ng chance; si Jade [Lopez] meron na, si Kat-Kat [Katrina Halili], si Cristine [Reyes], at least meron siyang project."

Earlier, it was reported to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that GMA network has decided to drop Cristine Reyes, former StarStruck Batch 1 Avenger, from its roster of talents. (Click here to read related article).

Now that Cristine is free, she can now accept whatever ABS-CBN has offered her. Rumor has it that she was offered a lead role in the TV adaptation of Alma Moreno's movie titled Eva Fonda, 16.

As a StarStruck batchmate, Nadine Samonte told the media that she is glad for her batchmate Cristine.

During the press conference of her newest endorsement, Active White, which was held at the Imperial Palace Suites in Timog Avenue, Quezon City yesterday afternoon, April 3, Nadine said, "I'm happy na she's happy naman sa nangyari sa kanya. And I think naman na meron din siyang show [doon sa kabila], so happy naman ako for her."

Like Cristine, Nadine's contract with GMA-7 has expired already and until now, she has not yet decided whether to renew her contract or not. Although the young actress is currently working for GMA-7's afternoon drama called Maging Akin Ka Lamang, Nadine said she considers herself as a freelancer right now.

Nadine explained to PEP, "Hindi pa ako nagre-renew. Nasa akin naman yun, e. Actually, nagbigay naman sila sa akin ng contract kung gusto kong mag-renew.

"Pero, as of now, sabi ko, hangga't wala pa akong dumarating na show or what, sabi ko, huwag na muna. Kasi parang ang hirap naman nun na nakatali ako, then wala namang show after ng Maging Akin Ka Lamang. "

When GMA News asked her if the reports saying that she is also transferring to ABS-CBN is true, Nadine immediately replied, "Lilipat? Hindi naman, hindi naman sa ganun."

She then added, "Pero ang sinasabi ko nga, kung saan may project, doon ako pupunta. Hindi ko kasi alam, after ng Maging Akin Ka Lamang, kung ano'ng next soap ko. Parang wala pang akong role o wala pa akong show."

Nadine said that the soap's last taping would be on the last week of April, while the show might end on the second week of May.

WEDDING PLANS. Nadine was also asked about her non-showbiz boyfriend named Emerson Chua. The 20-year-old actress revealed that as a couple, they sometimes talk about what they want for their wedding.

"Ang balak ko, 24 [years old]," said Nadine about her ideal marrying age.

However, she said that it might change depending on her career.

What would be the theme of their wedding?

Nadine answered, "Church talaga, reception siguro mga hotel o ano, traditional Chinese reception, ganun."

The wedding might be simple but Nadine wishes to have a luxurious honeymoon—at a seven-star hotel. Nadine narrated while laughing, "Pero nanloloko ako, sabi ko, gusto kong mag-honeymoon tayo doon sa seven-star hotel na puro gold [Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai]. Sabi niya, ‘Mahal yun, a.' Sabi ko, ‘Okay lang yun, mag-iipon naman tayo, e.'"

Although, she and her boyfriend openly talk about it, the StarStruck alumna clarified that there are no definite plans yet.
