Actor Jay Manalo admitted backing out from Kung Ako Ikaw, not because he would do gay impersonation but because the guest lineup was changed. Initially, he thought he would play against Joko Diaz and Victor Neri. But he was told at the last minute that the two had been replaced by Dino Guevarra and Joseph Bitangcol.

Jay Manalo backed out of the Kung Ako Ikaw challenge for a valid reason.

Unang inilabas sa blind item and then later on ay pinangalanan na.

Bigla pa itong nag-walkout nang nalaman niya na ang magiging challenge is to do the job of the gay impersonators sa mga comedy bar.

All accounts are false, depensa ng DMV Entertainment that handles Jay's career, along with Alessandra de Rossi, Jean Garcia, Jennica Garcia, Polo Ravales, Rubirubi, Joseph and the rest of the Boyz.Com.

Monday last week, May 26, ang taping day.

Jay woke up at 1 p.m. that day at malapit lang sa tinitirhan niya ang location, so walang problema sa call time. Nang nalaman niya na may change of lineup, nagpunta na siya sa Zirkoh, the venue of the challenge, to inform the production that he can't go on with the show.

Hindi niya tinanggihan sina Dino at Joseph because they're Dino and Joseph lang. In fact, magkasama nga sina Joseph at Jay sa DMV. Tinanggihan ni Jay ang challenge dahil naiba na ang concept and he really feels hindi niya nga naman ka-level sina Dino at Joseph for that particular challenge.
