Alessandra "Alex" de Rossi addressed rumors about her having a "tampo" against ABS-CBN.
The misunderstanding was said to have been caused by her teleserye Since I Found You wherein Alessandra had the chance to work with Empoy Marquez, Arci Munoz, and Piolo Pascual.
Alessandra explained that she agreed to do Since I Found You because she thought she would be the leading lady of Piolo in the prime-time series.
"Noong i-noffer siya sa 'kin, leading lady talaga siya. I mean, kilala niyo naman ako ever since. Bago 'yon, two years akong walang show dahil lahat tinatanggihan ko, lahat ayaw ko.
"Finally dumating yung role na gusto ko kasi leading lady, e, parang bago 'to, i-try nga natin," Alessandra was quoted as saying by ABS-CBN News during the presscon of her upcoming movie titled Through Night And Day.
She said she did not expect that she would end up playing the secretary of Piolo who has a secret crush on him. Last August, the show ended its four-month run with Piolo and Arci getting married and Alessandra getting engaged to Empoy's character.
"Yun nag-abot naman ako ng kape at papel kay Papa P. So masaya naman ako na natapos na yung show dahil gustong-gusto ko nang gawin 'to [Through Night and Day]."
Alessandra came up with the concept and story of Through Night and Day but she could no longer write the script because she was taping for the Kapamilya teleserye. For this reason, someone else was tapped to write the screenplay of her movie.
"I don't know kung ano yung nakarating, the tampo and all, but hindi iyun yung in-offer sa 'kin na role.
"Kung alam ko lang na mag-aabot lang pala ako ng kape, ginawa ko na 'to agad [movie], kasi naghihintay itong movie na ito. Ganun lang siya."
Did she feel bad because of what happened?
"Hindi ako nagtatampo. Kasi sinasabi ko nga, hindi siya first time na nangyari sa artista, nangyayari siya talaga.
"Hindi ko nga alam kung bakit lumabas, e. Sobrang konting tao lang ang nakaaalam nun.
"I'm just here to explain my side... Tao lang ako. Pinaasa ako, so yes, of course, masama ang loob ko noong time na yun," admitted Alessandra.
For the actress, this is all water under the bridge. She said with a smile, "Sa tingin mo, may issue pa ba ako? Wala akong issue. Nagawa ko na ang gusto kong gawin. Okay na ako."
