Lea Salonga condemned the behavior shown by some theatergoers who watched the Manila staging of the play Waitress.

She berated those who took unauthorized photos during the Philippine run of the Broadway musical.

Lea wrote in her Twitter account last December 3: "Haaaaaaay, you idiotic photo takers breaking the rules at #WaitressMNL. Nakakahiya kayo. The head usher has taken screenshots of your accounts and corresponding photos (one in particular had the gall to use the official hashtag). Talino."

Top-billed by Joanna Ampil, Waitress is about a woman who becomes pregnant and falls in love with her gynecologist.

There were those who were also dismayed by the lack of audience etiquette displayed by some theatergoers.

A netizen using the Twitter handle @dreagnes witnessed this during the last day of the Waitress run. She narrated through her Twitter posts:

"While the ushers were constantly saying that taking photos isn't allowed in the theatre, the person sitting beside me (which I believe is in her late 30's- early 40's) was taking a photo of the stage & even posted it in her stories! I stared at her for a while pero wala parin, eh.

"This happened during Waitress' closing day's matinee. She was doing it while the ushers were loudly reminding everyone. Nakakahiya talaga."
