Ang mga pelikulang Now That I Have You (2004)
at All My Life (2004) ang ilan lamang sa mga dinirek ni Direk Lauren na naging maganda ang resulta sa takilya.
Now that he directed And I Love You So, a film under Star Cinema na pinagbibidahan nila Bea Alonzo, Derek Ramsay at Sam Milby, Direk Lauren gave us the assurance na maraming bago at dapat abangan ang publiko sa nasabing pelikula.
"Marami, I think nagpalabas si Bea dito ng galing bilang isang kakaibang aktres. Nakakakilig silang tatlo, dalawang klase ng pag-iibigan ang naipakita dito and if you would like to cry at the same time fall in love and kiligin, this is a nice movie to watch.
"It's a love story, it's a story of falling in love, of not being afraid of falling in love again kapag kapag nawalan ka ng one great love. Makaka-relate ang lahat ng tao dito, kesyo babae o lalake ka, maa-appreciate itong pelikulang ito."
Direk Lauren also assured na ibang Bea, Sam and Derek ang mapapanood sa And I Love You So.
"I think yung three, they have a very good chemistry. Si Bea has proven herself as a very effective actress romantically and as a dramatic actress. Si Sam Milby surprisingly was able to bring out yung galing niya, ngayon lang siya nagkaroon ng very heavy and mature role Derek is also effective on his role as another love of Bea."
Naging issue at pinag-usapan ang pagtu-two piece ni Bea sa nasabing pelikula at ang intimate scenes nila Sam at Bea na ayon nga sa dalawa ay nagkaroon sila ng awkward feeling at sobrang kaba ng ginagawa nila ito. As the director of And I Love You So, si Direk Lauren ang nasa likod ng pagpayag ni Bea at Sam na gawin ang mga ganitong kaselan na mga eksena.
"I wanted Bea to appear as a mature person na kumportable sa kanyang sensuality at sa kanyang katawan. Since she is tackling a more serious and mature role, sabi ko nga sa kanya, it would be nice kung makita naman siya in a different light so nag-agree naman si Bea with a proper explanation lang.
"Regarding
the intimate scenes, wala naman naging problema kasi wala naman kaming ginawa
na di angkop sa kuwento, na di angkop sa istorya. Bago pa man naming umpisahan yung proyekto, alam na nila it
required Bea to do two love scenes and then also required her to wear bathing
suit so buung-buo niyang tinaggap.
"Alam
din naman ni Bea na I will take care of her, di naman siya ‘yung tipo na
aabusuhin naming and di naman kami nang-aabuso ng tao so she trusted me. She's very comfortable with me so si Bea
basta naman umoo ‘yan, di mag-iinarte ‘yan o kung ano."
SYNOPSIS. And I Love You So is the story of a man and a woman
brought together by tragedy. Bea plays Lara, a pre-school owner, who was
recently widowed when her husband Oliver Cruz (played by Derek Ramsey) died of
aneurysm on her 24th birthday.
Sam Milby plays Chris Panlilio, a man who feels like a widower after his wife
left him for another man. How they meet and find the strength to love again
constitutes the highlight of the movie.
