For its opening salvo in 2010, Maalaala Mo Kaya offers a love triangle involving three teen stars depicting a common dilemma among young people.
Rox (Shaina Magdayao) is the best friend of Ara (Niña Jose). They are so close that they treat each other as sisters. However, their friendship becomes strained when they meet Nathan (Jason Abalos). Ara has fallen for Nathan but the guy is smitten by Rox.
The two go out behind Ara's back but she eventually finds out. Rox convinces Nathan to pay more attention to her best friend even though it pains her greatly.
