Lea Salonga hits back at bashers over her Independence Day tweet

The Voice of the Philippines coach Lea Salonga received negative comments about her Independence Day tweet: "Our country is not yet debt-free, poverty-free, crime-free, or corruption-free. So what are we free from exactly and why do we celebrate it?"

Umani ng iba’t ibang reaksiyon ang tweet ni Lea Salonga noong June 12, matapos siyang maghayag ng kanyang saloobin tungkol sa pagdiriwang ng Independence Day sa Pilipinas.

Sa kanyang tweet (@MsLeaSalonga) ay hayagang sinabi ni Lea na ang ating bansa ay hindi pa lubusang malaya dahil hindi pa tayo malaya sa utang, sa krimen, at kurapsyon.

Maraming followers ni Lea ang sumagot sa tweet niyang ito at sinabing kung hindi dahil sa Independence Day na ito ay hindi niya malayang maihahayag ang kanyang saloobin.
