Manny Pacquiao respects Nike's decision; looking for new sponsor

Pambansang Kamao Manny Pacquiao respects sportswear brand Nike's decision to drop him as endorser following his controversial statement about same-sex marriage.

Nirerespeto ng Pambansang Kamao na si Manny Pacquiao ang desisyon ng giant sportswear brand na Nike na i-terminate ang kontrata niya bilang endorser, kasunod ng kanyang pahayag laban sa same-sex marriage.

Kasalukuyan namang naghahanap ang kampo ni Pacquiao ng apparel sponsor.

“Kung anuman yung decision nila, desisyon nila yun, nirerespeto ko.

“At saka ang pag-sponsor nila sa akin, yung mga damit lang man para sa fight,” pahayag ni Pacquiao.

Kasalukuyang nakatuon ang atensiyon ni Pacquiao sa training sa General Santos City, bilang paghahanda sa kanilang laban ni Timothy Bradley Jr. sa April 9.

Inaasahan ding ito ang pinakahuling laban ni Pacquiao sa kanyang boxing career.

Muli ring nilinaw ng boksingero na hindi niya kinokondena ang mga miyembro ng LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community sa kanyang kontrobersiyal na pahayag.

“Ang kinu-condemn ko, I just want to clarify this, yung paggawa ng masama ang kinu-condemn ko.”

Hindi rin daw nababahala ang aspiring senator sa paghayag ng LGBT community members na hindi nila susuportahan ang kanyang kandidatura sa darating na May 2016 election.

“Hindi man ako nababahala sa kung ano yung katotohanan.

“As I establish my leadership, you need to be firm on your own decision kung ano ang tama.”
