KC Concepcion looked stunning in a Jun Escario gown as she walked down the red carpet during the premiere of the film I'll Be There. Her equally dashing escort was her father, Gabby Concepcion, who was beaming with pride as he walked with his "baby." The two of them led the cast of the Maryo J. de los Reyes film that premiered last night, June 15, at Cinema 10 of SM Megamall.

KC is very close to her Papa Gabby, unlike her character Maxi dela Cerna, who became aloof to her father after being separated from him for 15 years. The New York-based fashion designer Maxi comes back to the Philippines to get her inheritance from Poch dela Cerna who runs a lambanog business.

This Star Cinema film has been graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board. It opens in cinemas today, June 16.

MOVIE WITH HER PARENTS. PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) had the chance to ask KC why she did a movie with her father first before appearing in a movie with her mother, Megastar Sharon Cuneta.

"Siya ang unang pumayag, e," KC candidly revealed during an interview held at the Chef's Quarter restaurant in SM Megamall. "Kondisyon ni Mama yun, [ang sabi niya] 'Unahin mo yung sa Papa mo. Ihuli mo yung sa 'kin para save the best for last.'"

Gabby interjected, "Save the best for last? E, di kami yun!"

Will there be a part 2 of this movie? Gabby responded by saying, "Malamang kasama na ang Mama mo nun!"

KC quipped, "Dilang anghel ba 'yon?"

Even though her mother was unable to attend the premiere night of I'll Be There, KC was very grateful to the Megastar for all the support that she gave for this project.

"Nabigay naman niya yung dalawang episodes ng show niya so that was more than enough support and I'd like to thank Mama for her support...for allowing us to guest on your show," KC said.

Now that she has acted opposite her Papa Gabby, is KC ready to star in a movie with the Megastar?

"Parang never akong magiging ready dun kasi siya ang nagpalaki sa akin. Mas magiging challenging pa para sa akin siguro yun and in the business, she is the best. Siguro manenerbiyos talaga ako nang todo," she replied.

PIOLO PASCUAL. Did Piolo Pascual express his intention to watch the premiere night?

"Gusto niyang pumunta, pero busy siya. Tinawagan niya ako kaninang morning to congratulate me. It means more naman, then yung effort na siya talaga yung gumawa...tatawag talaga siya to congratulate me personally. Kahit naman sino puwedeng magpadala ng bulaklak...kahit sino puwedeng magpadala ng gift, pero yung tawagan ka..." said KC about her former leading man.

FATHER'S DAY. KC mentioned that she plans to have a vacation in an Asian country to allow her to relax from all the work she did recently. As for Father's Day, KC revealed that she and her half-sisters plan to have dinner with the Concepcion clan.

When asked if KC has a Father's Day gift for her Papa, Gabby himself answered, "Oo, the movie. Siya ang dahilan kung bakit namin ginawa ang pelikula na ito. Siya ang nag-request nito. It's the best Father's Day gift that a father can be thankful for."

ON HER KISSING SCENE WITH JERICHO. KC's character, a fashion designer named Maxi dela Cerna, falls in love with Jericho Rosales's character, an architect named Tommy. When asked how it was like to shoot her kissing scene with Jericho, KC pointed out, "It was very professional and I feel comfortable naman with Echo [Jericho's nickname]. We're good friends kaya naging comfortable rin. Walang malisya."

Jericho told PEP that he was pleasantly surprised by the screams of fans when he and KC would have sweet moments in the film.

"Honestly, nagulat din ako dun. Kami, we're just doing our jobs, di ba? It's not in my prayers na magkaroon kami ng chemistry but people were telling us [na meron]. Pag nakarinig ako ng ganun, it tells me that I did a good job."

How was it like having KC as a leading lady?

"It was fun and there was a time when we called each other a 'sponge' kasi naa-absorb namin lahat. We had a workshop and nag-click lang kaming dalawa. Yung characters namin, nag-work," Jericho said.

Echo revealed that it only took them one take to shoot their kissing scene. Did he feel awkward shooting the kissing scene with KC?

"The awkward part was watching kanina. Ganun naman ako lagi, e. Kasi hindi na ako yun, e. Pag pinapanood ko na yung sarili ko, kahit sinong leading lady [he feels like hiding]."

Jericho's rumored girlfriend Cesca Litton was also present that night but she would only answer questions regarding the movie. She told the press, "It's a really good movie, it's not just for fathers and their children, it's also for anyone na gustong tumawa at gustong umiyak na rin."

Other ABS-CBN stars present that night were Gerald Anderson, Coco Martin, Christian Bautista, Maricar Reyes and Gary Valenciano.
