Lovi Poe and her leading man Rocco Nacino recently went to the island paradise of Palawan to tape scenes for their upcoming GMA-7 series titled Lovebug Presents Hearts Don't Lie.
In this Sunday afternoon series, Lovi Poe plays Ada, a journalist who goes to an island where she meets Sinag (Rocco Nacino). She thinks that he is the royal owner of the island but it turns out to be a case of mistaken identity. The real Datu (portrayed by Luis Alandy) will then do everything in his power to win the affection of the lovely journalist. Gloria Diaz is also cast in this show as Ayeesha, the queen of the island.
The lead stars taped some of their scenes in the wildlife sanctuary located in Calauit island in northwest Palawan. In this game reserve, Lovi and Rocco were able to see giraffes and other animals that are allowed to roam freely on the 3700-hectare island. They stayed for three days in Palawan and went back there again to shoot some more scenes.
On the last taping day of Hearts Don't Lie in Palawan, Rocco gave Lovi a giant giraffe stuffed toy as a souvenir of their memorable trip.
In preparation for their roles, Lovi and Rocco also signed up for introductory scuba diving lessons in Batangas.
Directed by Topel Lee, this mini-series was partly shot in Cavite.
Lovebug Presents Hearts Don't Lie, the light romantic drama starring Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino, is expected to start airing on August 29.
