Lani Mercado-Revilla apologizes for wrongly announcing Ilocos Norte Representative Imelda Marcos's death. She explained on her deleted Twitter post: "I received news break message informing the public about Mrs. Marcos."

Nag-trending ang pangalan ni dating First Lady Imelda Marcos sa Twitter ngayong araw, May 8, dahil sa maling pag-tweet ni Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado sa diumano'y pagpanaw nito.

Gamit ang kanyang Twitter account, sabi ni Lani, "Our condolences to the Marcos Family. It was a pleasure and a privilege to work with Cong. Imelda Romualdez Marcos."

Ang naturang Twitter post ay agad din namang nabura sa kanyang account.

Kasunod nito ay naglabas siya ng paumanhin dahil sa pagkakamali.

Aniya, “I would like to apologize for my tweets which I have erased. I received news break message informing the public about Mrs. Marcos.

Samantala, sa ulat ng GMA News, nilinaw ni Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos na buhay pa ang kanyang ina, na asawa ng dating diktador na si Ferdinand Marcos at ngayo'y Ilocos Norte representative.
