ABS-CBN actress Dimples Romana is The PEP LIST Year 4 Editors’ Choice for Teleserye Supporting Actress of the Year.
She won for her performance in the 2016 Kapamilya daytime series The Greatest Love.
Dimples portrayed the role of Amanda Alegre-Cruz, the first born of Sylvia Sanchez’s character, Gloria.
The Star Magic artist bested the following Teleserye Supporting Actress of the Year nominees: Cherie Gil in Dolce Amore, Dionne Monsanto in Tubig at Langis, Glydel Mercado in Sinungaling Mong Puso, and Snooky Serna in Poor Señorita.
The PEP.ph editorial team surprised Dimples with the awarding of her plaque at Studio 10 in the ABS-CBN compound earlier today, September 25.
She shared her victory with son Alonzo and with The Greatest Love production team members present during the awarding.
In her emotional acceptance speech, Dimples expressed her gratitude to the cast and crew of the afternoon drama.
She said, “Amanda would not have been Amanda if not for the people behind the camera.
“So, thank you to my directors, to the staff, to the crew… and especially to my co-actors!
“Everybody who made Amanda the complex role and character that she was!
“Thank you, PEP! Maraming-maraming salamat! I will truly honor this and cherish this.”
The celebrity mom of two took the opportunity to encourage her fellow mothers to “go out and chase your dream.”
Dimples said, “Chase after your dreams even when you’re already a mom!
“That doesn’t mean that your world has to stop.
"It only means that you get more inspired because there are more people who are counting on you.”
