Award-winning actress Iza Calzado shines as she assumes the starring role in GMA-7's upcoming primetime drama titled Beauty Queen.
For the first time in her television career, the highly talented actress has agreed to wear a sexy two-piece swimsuit, confidently revealing her toned body, as part of her role as a beauty queen aspirant.
She will play the character of Maita, an attractive but poor market vendor who dreams of competing in the Bb. Isla Pilipinas beauty pageant. She moves from one pageant to another hoping that one day, she just might realize her dream of being in the country's most prominent beauty competition.
Joining her in her latest acting venture are Katrina Halili, Marvin Agustin, TJ Trinidad, Maggie Wilson, Elizabeth Oropesa, Carmi Martin, Gloria Diaz, Bembol Roco, Luis Alandy, Bubbles Paraiso, Victor Aliwalas, and Marky Lopez.
Iza also reunites with multi-award winning director Joel Lamangan, who directed her in her first ever drama series.
