Nora Aunor, 65, begged off from making a statement about the recent news that her adopted daughter, Lotlot de Leon, 47 got engaged to her Lebanese boyfriend Fadi El Soury.
When reached for comment, Nora hinted that she has no communication with Lotlot at this point in their lives.
“Sorry po, pero hindi kami nagkikita sa ngayon,” said Nora, but did not elaborate why she and Lotlot haven’t seen each other of late.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other reporters interviewed Nora at the grand media conference for her upcoming GMA-7 prime time series, Onanay.
The Onanay mediacon was held at Le Reve events place in Quezon City last night, July 27.
It was not clear exactly when Nora last saw her eldest daughter.
But based on PEP.ph’s report dated April 2017, Lotlot was quoted saying that the last time she saw Nora was during the wake of Eddie “Buboy” Villamayor, younger brother of the Superstar.
ON LOVE AND SHOWBIZ INTRIGUES
As for Nora’s own love life, she said that she’s not in a relationship with anyone at the moment.
Recalling her younger days in show business, Nora jokingly mentioned that the only time she gets in trouble at work was when she was head over heels in love with someone.
How does she handle showbiz intrigues at the time?
In her 51 years in show business, the critically-acclaimed actress went on to say that she had survived the toughest controversies.
“Naku, hindi niyo na kailangan tanungin iyan,” Nora exclaimed when prodded about her most unforgettable struggle in the past.
ADVICE TO YOUNG STARS
What advice can she give to younger stars who go through depression amid the high demands in the industry?
Nora answered, “Maging matatag.
Keeping the faith and having a positive attitude are also key to staying long in showbiz, said the legendary actress.
