Cristine Reyes kept her answer short and vague when asked about her relationship status to date.
Without mentioning the name of her husband Ali Khatibi, Cristine replied, "Okey naman po. Tahimik naman po ang buhay ko. Maayos naman ang lahat."
She gave this statement during the presscon proper for Viva Films’ Abay Babes, held at Le Reve Events Place in Quezon City, Thursday, September 6.
Circling around Cristine’s marital status, an entertainment reporter asked her if there’s anything she wants to change about how she mounted her beach wedding in 2016.
To which, Cristine simply said, "Uhm, so far, hindi ko pa po naisip iyan. So hindi ko rin alam yung isasagot ko."
Does she still believe in marriage?
Cristine readily answered, "Oo naman."
There have been speculations that Cristine’s union with Ali is on the rocks as early as January 2018—or around the same time she wrote a prayer for their marriage to be protected from bad "elements" that might "ruin" it.
Cristine quashed the issue, saying that she doesn’t understand why people are making a big deal out of a quote that she got from Pinterest and reposted on her Instagram account.
But this did not stop netizens from picking up clues about the couple’s suspected breakup, since Ali is quite noticeably absent in the photos that Cristine has since been posting on social media.
The last time Cristine posted a photo with Ali on Instagram was on January 5, 2018.
In May 2018, it was reported that Cristine unfollowed Ali on Instagram for some unknown reason, and then she followed him back again after two days.
At press time, Cristine is following only 14 people on Instagram and her husband Ali is not included on the list.
