Michele Gumabao optimistic despite Miss Globe 2018 loss

26-year-old professional volleyball player Michele Gumabao wins Miss Social Media and Miss Dream Girl special awards from Miss Globe 2018.

Michele Gumabao opted to keep a positive mindset despite her failure to bring home the crown during Miss Globe 2018 coronation night, held in Albania last night, October 21.

In her Instagram post today, October 22, Michele wrote that she has no regrets knowing that she gave the pageant her best shot.

After all, she got as far as the Top 15 finalists.

The former De La Salle University Lady Spiker was also hailed as Miss Dream Girl and Miss Social Media for the pageant's special awards.

Michele's caption read: "Going home to my country with this huge smile on my face!

"I've learned a lot being here for 2 weeks! Ive always known that in life there are wins and there are losses, but God knows what's best for us [heart emoji]

"I trust in Him to take me further. I gave my best and I know it was good enough because I had the whole Philippines believing in me!

"At the end of the day, it is what it is BLUE FOR PEACE [smile with tongue sticking out] I'm coming home!!! Volleyball naman ang labanan [laughing with tears]."

It was China's Yu Yizhou who was crowned Miss Globe 2018.
