Richard Gutierrez turns over P1.2 million proceeds to GMA Kapuso Foundation

The money was raised during the recently concluded All-Star Kapuso Fun Run.

PRESS STATEMENT FROM GMA-7:

"Environmental advocate and Kapuso artist Richard Gutierrez recently turned over to the GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) P1.2 million generated from the All-Star Kapuso Fun Run. The event was a brainchild of the Network's Entertainment group and front lined by the actor as a fund-raising project last April.

"The event successfully raised proceeds to benefit GMAKF's environmental projects that include construction of water distribution and sanitation facilities as well as tree planting in public schools nationwide. Richard personally turned over the donations to GMA Network President and Chief Operating Officer Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., Senior Vice President for Corporate Services Group Felipe S. Yalong and Kapuso Foundation Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Mel Tiangco.

"The run dubbed as "All-Star Kapuso Fun Run with Richard Gutierrez" convened almost 5,000 runners who joined the 3K, 5K, and 10K races. Other Kapuso stars who joined the run include Iza Calzado (who co-hosted the event), Akihiro Sato, Fabio Ide, Mikael Daez, Ervic Vejandre, Daniel Matsunaga, Elma Muros, Alden Richards,Ian Batherson, Bearwin Meily, Ehra Madrigal, Michelle Madrigal, Ynna Asistio as well as Kapuso viewers from around the country.

"Also present in the awarding ceremony were Vice President for Entertainment TV Marivin T. Arayata, Program Manager for ETV Cecille De Guzman and GMA Kapuso Foundation Executive Director Henri L. Perez."
