Real-life friends Alex Gonzaga and Luis Manzano know how to put on a show for their followers with their usual alaskahan or friendly insults on social media.
But their social media "feud" has taken on another level, as both of them are now trying to outdo each other. How? Pagalingan ng dance moves!
SINO ANG PINAKAMAGALING MAG-CHAMBA?
In a tweet, Alex expressed missing doing the "Chamba" dance—but not without tagging Luis to remind him who does it best, saying, "Namiss ko sumayaw ng chamba chamba.. parte na sya ng pagkatao ko di ko Alam bakit sinama ka pa kasi @luckymanzano di mo Naman Kaya..."
Of course, Luis, won't let Alex get ahead of the game and did what he knows best: poke fun at Alex's dance steps.
Showing the best of his "Chamba" moves, Luis replied, “@Mscathygonzaga, bakit ganyan ka sumayaw? Para kang poste na hinahangin... ganito kadali lang yan, nakatulog na nga ako habang ginagawa e..."
The asaran didn’t stop here. Alex won't let herself lose to Luis, and even described him as "karimarimarim," or someone people can't stand seeing.
In retaliation, the TV host joked about Alex's slim built.
He said, "Wag ka lalabas ng bahay, baka kabitan ka ng jumper cable sa ulo poste ka! hunyango ka! Gulat ako sa post mo, sumasayaw na pala ang bamboo ngayon."
Things started to heat up when Alex finally challenged Luis to a dance showdown.
She said, "Wag mo ko iniinis baka hamunin Kita ng sayawan sa himig handog.. at wait Mali. Basta showdown Tayo matalo papaalisin ng pinas ano??!!"
Knowing that dancing is in his blood—his mother Vilma Santos was known for her own dance program in the '80s, while his father Edu Manzano popularized the "Papaya Dance" in 2008—Luis readily accepted.
Alex confirmed, saying that the challenge is, indeed, happening.
She said, "Game showdown na to! Ginoong Tubol vs Prima ballerina versatile jazz funk dancer. COL na to!!!!! Hahaha."
Luis then threw his final insult: "Dance showdown ng Batangas vs Taytay to... isa lang mananaig... i ready mo yang paa mong malaki, sa sobrang laki malayo palang tae natapakan mo na."
#TEAMALEX VS #TEAMLUIS
Of course, it's not fun if Alex and Luis will be the only ones involved in the dance showdown.
The two called on their fans to join them when they face each other onstage at ASAP Natin To's online show, iWant ASAP.
Alex called her #TeamAlex to action and announced, "Naayos ko na! Dance challenge na tayo sa I want ASAP, ano??!! Sumali na din kayo sa #ChambaDanceChallenge and please join the winning #TeamAlex! Talunin natin lahat si Kuya Luis! @luckymanzano."
Luis then encouraged his Luisters to join him in winning against Alex.
He said, "Hindi kami magpapatalo ng basta basta ng followers ko at luisters sa hamon mo na sayawan! O GAME!! pipili ako ng mga back up dancers ko sa inyo para sa dance off namin ni @Mscathygonzaga sa IWANTASAP! Sali na kayo sa #chambachambadancechallenge #TEAMLUIS ha! GAME!!!"
