Sinag Maynila 2018 now open for entries in the categories full-length, short film and documentary

For the fourth edition of Sinag Maynila, filmmakers can now submit documentaries in addition to the full-length and short film categories.

Solar Entertainment Corporation together with Cannes award-winning director Brillante Mendoza launched this film festival in 2015 that aims to support local independent cinema.

Sinag Maynila was born from the vision of Mr. Wilson Tieng and Direk Brillante Mendoza’s wish to have a festival that not only inspires but educates and enlightens Filipino movie audiences.

DEADLINE of submission of entries is on November 30, 2017.
Sinag Maynila 2018 (Year 4) will be held from March 7-13, 2018.

A. FULL LENGTH FILM 2018

MECHANICS FOR FINISHED FULL LENGTH FILM CATEGORY:
1. Download and fill out the official entry form. Download it here >>

2. Synopsis of the film should not be more than 200 words.
3. Maximum running time of the (finished) full length film should not be more than two (2) hours, inclusive of Opening and Closing Credits.
4. The film must be in English, Filipino or any Philippine dialect (must have English subtitles).
5. Music used for the film must be original or licensed or in the public domain
6. The complete and final entry should be in HD or SD data format (MP4, MOV or AVI) in portable hard drive or DVD.
7. The entry has not been exhibited as part of a local film festival or any other film competition.
8. Official poster, trailer, images and title art should also be submitted.
9. The filmmaker should submit their curriculum vitae (single spaced, not more than 2 pages) together with their two (2) recent 2X2 photos.
10. Entries from abroad will only be accepted as long as it is written or directed or produced by Filipino filmmaker/s and the film is about the stories or culture of Filipinos.

MECHANICS FOR FINISHED SHORT FILM CATEGORY:

2. Synopsis of the film should not be more than 200 words.
3. Maximum running time of the (finished) short film should not be more than fifteen (15) minutes, inclusive of Opening and Closing Credits.
4. The film must be in English, Filipino or any Philippine dialect (must have English subtitles).
5. Music used for the film must be original, licensed or in the public domain
6. The complete and final entry should be in HD or SD data format (MP4, MOV or AVI) in portable hard drive or DVD.
7. The entry has not been exhibited as part of a local film festival or any other film competition.
8. Official poster, trailer, images and title art should also be submitted.

5. Music used for the film must be original or licensed or in the public domain.
6. The complete and final entry should be in HD or SD data format (MP4, MOV or AVI) in portable hard drive or DVD.
