Pumayag si Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno na maging celebrity endorser ng Belo Thermage FLX procedure dahil sa dalawang milyong pisong talent fee na ibinayad sa kanya.
Ibinigay naman ni Mayor Isko ang nasabing halaga sa mga biktima ng malakas na lindol sa North Cotabato noong November 2019.
Kilala si Isko sa pagiging matapang at mahigpit sa pagpapatupad ng mga batas sa Maynila, pero ang hindi alam ng karamihan, takot siya sa karayom at sa injection.
Napapayag lamang si Isko na subukan ang Belo Thermage FLX procedure dahil sa assurance ni Dra. Vicki Belo na walang karayom na gagamitin sa kanyang mukha.
"She promised. She promised there’s no injection.
"She promised it will be a quick procedure, and she promised I will see immediate results.
"She promised and she delivered," sabi ni Isko matapos gawin sa kanya ang procedure na ikinatutuwa niya dahil sa mga komentong bumata ang kanyang itsura.
Ayon naman kay Dra. Belo, kinuha niyang endorser si Isko dahil kapwa silang passionate na ipakita sa buong mundo na world class ang ating bansa.
"I’ve met him so many times, and he’s really one of the most hardworking, sincere, humble people.
"And I think that’s what I admire about him and, of course, he’s very close to the Lord.
"I know we’re third world, but we are first class in dermatology.
"So when I meet a person who has that same love and who wants to taas the bandilang Pilipino, I feel it in my bones, and that’s what I felt with Mayor Isko.
"Put it together somehow—love for Philippines, Belo Medical Group being around 30 years trying to make a dent in the world, trying to make the country a beauty destination—parang I feel a kinship," pahayag ni Dra. Belo.
Dahil na rin sa suggestion ni Isko, ginanap noong January 14 ang launch sa kanya bilang Belo celebrity endorser sa Rizal Park Hotel.
Dito rin ipinagkaloob ni Dra. Belo ang kalahating milyong piso na donasyon ng Belo Medical Group sa relief efforts ng Philippine National Red Cross para sa mga biktima ng Taal Volcano eruption.
"Because we all want to help… this is not going to be a superficial presscon.
"But rather, it’s also a way that… together we can help and we will continue to help you. We are all here," pahayag ni Dra. Belo.
