"Today, I wear my showbiz hat because I wouldn’t be where I am if I weren’t an actor," ani Alfred.

"I was close to Tito Eddie Garcia as I worked with him in two projects.

"I’m concerned. Iyong mga sikat na artista, mga big time stars, siguro, they are okay. Pero they will also benefit from this bill.

"But I’m more concerned for the extras, for the utility people, for the contractual, kasi we don’t have job security at all.

"Kami, we are only good as our last project or our last call time and pack up."

"In my personal working experience with different networks, I’ve injured myself so many times–napilayan sa sword fight, nasaktan sa fight scene, at nasugatan sa underwater shooting.

"That’s why it’s so excruciatingly painful to see this kind of accident happen.

"Therefore, we need the safety measures to be institutionalized and all kinds of protections for all talents– actors, directors, bit players."

"Whether we like it or not, this will entail additional cost to the producer.

"Everyone should abide by the law including actors and talents. We need strong enforcement for this.

"As part of the showbiz family, being an actor myself, I fully support this measure. And rest assured that if you need my help, I will be at your disposal.

"It’s about time na mapansin at bigyan ng importansiya ang lahat ng trabahador ng pelikulang Pilipino."
