Martin Nievera: "For the world of competition, this is good news. Three new Sunday noontime shows, that’s great. Another great thing it does is it brings back the network wars, even though we’re not at war really with each other. Just that competition alone, the curiosity."

"I’m very happy to be back and help Vicor celebrate their 54th year.

"I was 19 years old turning 20 when I first recorded 'Be My Lady.'

"It was Boss Vic del Rosario who saw me on a TV show and he recruited me right away," pagbabalik-tanaw ni Martin tungkol sa pag-uumpisa niya sa Vicor na may soft spot sa kanyang puso.

Ang "Be My Lady," "Holiday," "Pain," "Each Day With You," "Please Don’t Throw My Love Away," "You Are To Me," "On The Right Track," "Ikaw Ang Lahat sa Akin," "Miracle," "Say That You Love Me," at ang Christmas song na "Christmas Won’t Be The Same Without You" ang ilan sa mga hit songs ni Martin noong Vicor artist pa siya.

“Vicor has a long and storied history. But that doesn’t mean that it will remain in the past.

"We are now looking to the future of OPM and we will create more hits. We’ve done it before with Martin, we can do it again.

“Martin will be the momentous start of greater things to come from Vicor. We have great plans for this label and you will hear of it soon,” ani Boss Vic.

SUNDAY NOONTIME SHOWS

Pahayag ni Martin, "For the world of competition, this is good news. Three new Sunday noontime shows, that’s great.

"Another great thing it does is it brings back the network wars, even though we’re not at war really with each other.

"Just that competition alone, the curiosity. What is their show look like compared to their show.

"All of these things did not exist for a long long time, and now, it’s back."

Patuloy niya, "So I hope that this will add fire to all the networks so that they’ll better themselves and not trying to kill each other.

"Because really, frankly, one of the three Sunday shows that you mentioned, being in one of them, my strategy, if you will ask me, what I’m gonna do that’s gonna be different from them? Absolutely nothing!

"Because, I think, ASAP has nothing to prove anymore.

"I think, we’ve been in the business long enough to be able to share the airwaves with everybody."

"There’s no longer… For me, I’m just talking about myself, I don’t find myself worried, scared.

"Actually, I’m excited because some of our Kapamilya has moved to ABC-5 and ABC-5 is a better network because of it.

"Because of the people that they got, where some of our best players, some of our best directors, best artists, so I wish them well.

"But my strategy is to sit back, watch them, applaud them.

"But like I tell all my other fellow Kapamilyas, you put blinders on and you keep going forward. Do not look back, do not look to your side.

"You have nothing to prove. Enjoy the ride, give the best entertainment that you can give however big or small your participation, make it epic."

"We must only think of one thing—and that’s to entertain, inspire, maybe educate.

"But leave the fighting for people who have to prove something to themselves.

"But as far as I’m concerned, ASAP has nothing to prove, except just keep going forward."
