Aiko Melendez: "There was a time na I was just so addicted in looking good. Yung umabot na ako sa pagiging vain. So, I tried this injection on my face and apparently, it worked the other way around.

I Can See You, ngayong hapon, March 30.

Kuwento ni Aiko, "There was a time na I was just so addicted in looking good. Yung umabot na ako sa pagiging vain.

"So, I tried this injection on my face and apparently, it worked the other way around.

"At the time, I was doing a show and then I was coming from losing an election, so I totally needed the work that I had at that time.

"Pero na-suspend ako dahil nasira yung mukha ko because out of my vanity nga.

"So I prayed to God na sana sabi ko, ‘Lord, sana pagalingin niyo yung mukha ko kasi na-distort talaga yung mukha ko.

"Walang gustong kumuha sa akin bilang artista.

"And then, I prayed, sabi ko, 'Lord, pagalingin Mo lang ako. Kapag napagaling Mo ako, I will serve You. You will be my only one, Ikaw talaga ang magre-reign ng buhay ko.'"

"And then, after six months na gamutan sa face ko, I woke up one day, bumalik sa normal yung mukha ko.

"And then, eto Gabby [Eigenmann, her co-star in I Can See You] katrabaho kita, yung Asintado, yun ang first project ko after magamot yung mukha ko.

"When I did Asintado the movie, sobra na yung blessings sa akin ng Panginoon noon because at that time, when I did that movie with Gabby, I won best actress in London, first time ko manalo sa ibang bansa. Tapos after nun, sunud-sunod na.

"Ibinalik sa akin ng Diyos yung mga nawala at sabi ko nga, Lord, He restored me.

"So, alam ko, up to this day, may pinagdaanan man ako na ordeal, like I lost my dad through COVID, pero eto na naman ako, nakatayo pa rin ako.

"When I was doing I Can See You, wala pang two weeks na namatay ang dad ko noon. Kaya napansin niyo, Direk Dom [Zapata, I Can See You director], sa mga iyakan ko na eksena, ang bilis kong humugot dahil nga I just lot my dad.

"So I know in my heart, andiyan ang Panginoon up to this day, hindi lang para sa akin pero para sa lahat sa atin, may pandemic o wala.

"Look at where we are right now, we have a good show. Ang ganda ng produkto na nagawa natin ngayon, and that goes to show that there is God.

"That He is guiding us along the way."
