"Walang update since it flew to the US. Wala na akong idea and ang daming interviews asking for the 'missing piece' since it was announced na ako ang gagawa at may gagawin ako for the National Costume competition," kuwento ni Manny.
Giit ni Manny: "Sending love to all. Let us focus on Rabiya. Let us all send her our support and love.
There is a perfect time…in His Time," sabi ni Manny na may malawak na pang-unawa sa nangyaring insidente.
RABIYA'S CRYING VIDEO
MANNY halasan'S STATEMENT ON FACEBOOK
Paglalarawan ni Manny tungkol sa pagbusisi niya sa kanyang creation: "Looking at the National costume for Miss Universe 2020, I hope to share the vision with everyone. It’s patriotic, historic, triumphant….. victorious.
"It is not just looking at the beauty of the creation onstage but beyond what the eyes can see.
"Each part symbolic of the deep culture and history embellished in it. Carved by the blood of heroes and enriched by our own history and heritage. It is not just colors and symbols… it is Filipino.
"Before, I only dreamed of having my creations appreciated in local pageants and local TV. My heart would burst in happiness to see my friends and family proud.
"It is my way of making my Nanay Norma and Tatay Menong (grandmother and grandfather) proud and alive. That the legacy they left will continue and that I bring them with me in my journey."
"Having been chosen to contribute to the national costume of Rabiya for Miss Universe is a dream come true for every designer. I want to share to everyone that if you believe in your talent, work hard to hone your craft and pray for God’s guidance, there is nothing impossible.
"I always believe in perfect timing. If it is not yet for you, let time and experience make you better and excellent. There is a time for everything.
"During this time of uncertainty because of the pandemic, I want to give to the country in my own way through this contribution. There are a lot of unfortunate events that happened but despite all of these, I want to share that faith that there is hope.
"Better days are coming and whatever status you are now is not your final destiny. You can change that. You can be better. We are instruments and we are here to pass that message of positivity and hope.
"Miss Universe is not just about the candidates. It is about the country and the people behind that they bring with them on national stage. There are a lot of big talents and creative Filipino local and abroad. Filipino craftsmanship is beyond world class.
"I believe there a lot of genius designers in their houses in far flung areas in the country and in the world right now that are ripening in their own nook. Let that niche nurture you and eventually let time and destiny lead your talent to be recognized.
The stars will align and its alignment will form a constellation. A talent not just sole but connected and recognized in its destined place.
"Thank you Sir Rocky for your great work. You are an inspiration.
Thank you Tito Albert who has always been a great inspiration and believer.
Thank you to the Miss Universe Philippines Organization for giving opportunity to talents.
"Thank you Rabiya Mateo for very well carrying this responsibility to represent our country. You make us all very proud.
"Thank you to everyone who has given words of support and encouragement. Let us continue to help each other in our own way.
"Maraming Salamat po."
