Pahayag ni Kathleen sa Cabinet Files, “Philippines has many amazing national pageants that women can join, and Miss World Philippines is one of them.

“It’s fair to say that Miss World Philippines has an incredible platform to voice out exactly what you’re passionately advocating for.

“Specifically speaking, Miss World is all about Beauty With A Purpose [BWAP]. I truly believe I have a purpose of educating and inspiring people.

BEAUTY PAGEANTS IN THE TIME OF PANDEMIC

Tugon niya, “I expect a lot from this competition. I’ve seen the schedule and I can tell it’s A LOT.

"Despite it being a lot, I’m sure it’s nothing but a fun experience yet a gruelling one too.

"I’ve done a pageant before and there’s a lot of hard work that involves in it especially behind the scenes.

"In terms of preparations, there are things that’ll be slowly released to the public as the time draws nearer to the finals. I’m extremely excited.

"I wouldn’t say there’s things I need to sacrifice, but rather there are things I need to focus and work more on.

"Meaning, to be more aesthetically pleasing physically, I would need to workout more, eat cleaner and healthier to give me energy for the activities, train walking, and study communication skills.

"But these are all incredible things people can do even if they aren’t doing a pageant. It’s great for a healthier life. This is a more positive outlook."

Patuloy ni Kathleen, "The challenges that come with this pandemic in pageantry is really being able to do everything as a candidate during the preparation stage without getting sick.

"Getting sick will delay your whole process of preparation, training, and performance.

"There’s also this part where a candidate may have to leave home and stay away from family because the risk of catching COVID and infecting others is higher when you’re constantly surrounded by people.

"So it is extremely important as a candidate to observe safety protocols wherever one goes. Get vaccinated."

FOREVER MISS MANILA

"Sometimes I forget that I’m the last Miss Manila hahaha!

"Of course I’m a bit sad that I wasn’t able to crown the next possible Miss Manila Queen, but it’s also a story to tell my future children someday that Miss Manila ended with me and I am forever the reigning Miss Manila.

"With Miss Manila, there were charity works with MARE Foundation that I did with Ms. Jackie Ejercito [Miss Manila pageant director].

"It was extremely fulfilling and rewarding for me to do that. It gave me a lot of perspectives on the different communities in Manila and the living situations there.

"I believe I I did fulfill my duties as a Miss Manila. I enjoyed it very much."
