“To be honest, I don’t think he would react the best with this film but I’ve done it in the past,” ang sagot ni Jake na nakasanayan na tawaging Tio Manoling ang lolo niya na tiyo ng kanyang ama.

“Saka me and my Tio Manoling, we always had this understanding na pagdating sa pag-aartista ko, he knows my reason why I’m an actor. He knows na I want to be a master of what I do.

“Hindi basta sumikat, masaya na ako. Hindi ganoon. This is my art. I study it, I practice it everyday and I love being an actor so maiintindihan niya yun. He never stopped me from expressing myself as an artist.

“Ako naman, in real life, as a person, as Jake, disente ko namang nare-represent ang sarili ko and he will be proud of that.”

“Pagkatapos ng lahat ng nangyari sa atin with the pandemic, I really do believe na parang we survived the end of the world.

“For me, malaking aral itong pelikulang ito. Mahaba ang buhay, we don’t know what’s in store, so be yourself, come out if you need to come out, kasi we only live one life.

“If you wanna be able to say your truth and live your life the way you want it.

“Kaya ko rin tinanggap yung movie kasi to be honest, I felt like I was suppressed for three years.

“Nakapagtrabaho naman ako awa ng Diyos pero it just got me by. Yung satisfication ng pagiging artista, I wasn’t satisfied for three years. Parang I was really hungry.”

“Oo naman [may mga kakilala siyang hindi pa nag-come out], saka in this day and age, iba-iba na. Pero what’s nice about living in 2022, certainly mas madali na to come out.

“It’s more acceptable kaya nakakatuwa rin na sa likod ng mga nangyayari, we live in a more liberal, more free world.”
