Ang inspirational book na isinusulat niya para sa VRJ Publishing, Inc. ang sinabing dahilan ni Xian Lim nang tanungin siya sa press conference ng Miss Granny tungkol sa “rejection” post niya sa Instagram noong nakaraang buwan.
Paliwanag ni Xian, "That post about rejection, I just wanted to share.
"During that time, I feel so very disconnected with the people following me.
"I just feel maybe they don’t know me. Maybe they just know the Xian they see on TV.
"There’s a lot of thing in my head.
"I decided to share that being an artist, you face lot of rejections and you face a lot of these hate, you get a lot of hate from people you don’t know.
"I just wanted to share na it’s hard for us to survive."
Patuloy niya, "I was writing din kasi. I’m writing a book under VRJ Publishing and I decided to share a couple of things that maybe part of the book.
"I just want something inspirational na when life gets you down and, on my end, kung marami kang rejection, I think as an artist, you will really feel that.
"Nandoon ako sa state na yun, e.
"I feel na parang what’s kulang now is I want people to know more.
"I feel na nasa taas lang ng surface ang nakikita nila."
Nilinaw rin ni Xian na hindi siya malungkot nang ibahagi sa kanyang followers ang mga saloobin niya tungkol sa rejection.
