Fully vaccinated senior citizens allowed to go out under ECQ, MECQ

Senior citizens can now leave the house for as long as they can present proof of full vaccination. Department of Health also reminds that health protocols need to be observed.

Pinapayagan nang lumabas ang mga senior citizens sa isang kodisyon: Dapat fully vaccinated na sila.

“Kayo po ay pinapayagan pero kailangan mag-iingat po kayo,” ayun sa anunsiyo at paalala sa mga senior citizens sa ilalim ng general community quarantine (GCQ) at modified GCQ.

Inanunsiyo ito ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque ngayong Biyernes, June 11, 2021.

Aniya, napagdesisyunan ito ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infection Diseases, noong Huwebes, June 10.

Kailangan lamang ipakita ng senior citizens ang patunay na fully vaccinated na sila.

"Subject ito sa mga kondisyon tulad ng pagdadala ng duly-issued vaccination card at pagsunod sa minimum health protocols," ani Roque.

Pinapayagan rin ang point-to-point travel ng mga senior, pero hindi ang interzonal travel.

Samantala, nagpaalala rin si Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire na kailangan pa ring sumunod ng seniors sa health protocols, gaya ng pagsusuot ng mask at face shield, pati na rin social distancing.

“Pinapayagan po ng ating gobyerno na makalabas na ang ating mga senior citizens starting June 16 na fully vaccinated, yun lang pong may dalawang doses ng bakuna.

“Kayo po ay pinapayagan pero kailangan mag-iingat po kayo, kayo po ay dapat susunod pa rin sa ating minimum public health standards para hindi po tayo nagkakaroon pa ng impeksyon… makapanghawa.”

As of June 6, 2021, tinatayang 1.54 million o 16 percent pa lamang ng kabuuang 9 million population ng senior ciizens ang nababakunahan ng first dose.

Samantala, higit sa 343,000 naman sa kanila ang nakatanggap ng second dose.
