Frankie's New York Buffalo Wings has issued an official statement assuring the public that an investigation is ongoing concerning its staff not respecting its customers.
The incident happened at one of its branches last Sunday, March 20, 2022, after the rally of one of the presidential candidates, Vice President Leni Robredo, in Pasig City.
The incident was made known when a private Facebook post began circulating in social media chronicling the incident the netizen witnessed in the chicken wings store.
According to the private post, one of the staff of Frankie's allegedly shouted "BBM" while passing by a table full of pink-wearing Leni supporters also known as Kakampinks.
When the occupants of the table allegedly asked to speak to management to report the incident, staff were said to have "just laughed at the Leni supporters being offended."
The staff continued to voice their comments even after the table of customers left the store. The incident happened at the BGC Crossroads branch.
According to Frankie's official statement posted last night, March 21, the management of Frankie's apologized for the incident and said that an investigation into the incident involving its staff is ongoing.
During this investigation, Frankie's also said that its staff will be re-oriented, including showing "respect despite any personal beliefs they may hold."
