Maureen Worblewitz on possible criticism on why a Fil-German actress like her will play an Ifugao woman: “Yeah, I definitely understand that. Ahh, but I do think that, I mean, she could be mixed. She has a father from a different country. But she definitely has that culture of Banaue where she comes from, and where she grew up.”

Nag-aral ng wikang Tuwali si Maureen Wroblewitz upang maging authentic ang pagganap niya bilang Ifugao girl na si Grace sa pelikulang Take Me To Banaue.

“This role is actually very challenging,” sambit ni Maureen sa storycon nitong Marso 3, 2022, Huwebes, sa Pandan Cafe, Sct. Limbaga St., Quezon City.

“Because I will not only have to learn Tuwali which is the dialect, I will also have to put in an accent in my English, also in my Tagalog.

“And I’m still learning my Tagalog. So, being able to speak the language, and then put an accent, will definitely be very challenging.

“But I like the challenge, and I’m very excited.”

If ever, willing ba si Maureen na mag-topless sa Take Me To Banaue?

“Ahh, probably not. Ha! Ha!

“Yeah, I definitely understand that. Ahh, but I do think that, I mean, she could be mixed. She has a father from a different country,” paglalarawan ni Maureen sa kanyang role.

“But she definitely has that culture of Banaue where she comes from, and where she grew up.”

Whatever happened to her movie Runway (kung saan katambal niya si Kit Thompson)? It’s been months when its streaming was postponed.

“Oh, you know, I have the same question! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!” pagtawa muli ng dalaga.

“I really do have the same question. Let’s just wait and see but I’m really focusing on this project right now.”

Nasa cast din ng Take Me To Banaue sina Thea Tolentino, MJ Lastimosa, Boobay, at ang isa pang American actor na si Dylan Rogers.

GORGY RULA

Balak daw niyang isali sa ilang international film festivals, kagaya ng Sundance, itong Take Me To Banaue.

All the best to Take Me To Banaue!

Ano ang ka-level nito — Lollipops and Roses at Burong Talangka with Nora Aunor and Don Johnson o Stranger In Paradise with Snooky and Tom Babauta o Ang Boyfriend Kong Kano with Maricel Soriano and Dani Vanni?

Nasa tradisyon na natin ang ganitong pelikula. Tingnan natin ang kalalabasan nitong bagong Banaue movie!
