Isa si Vice Ganda sa pararangalan sa closing ceremony ng 3rd Philippine Film Industry Month (PFIM) sa Setyembre 29, 2023, Biyernes, sa Acacia Hotel Manila sa Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Sa Gala Night ng 3rd PFIM nitong Setyembre 16, Sabado, sa Teatrino, Promenade Greenhills, San Juan City, inusisa namin ang technical consultant ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) na si Direk Jose Javier Reyes kaugnay sa paratang na "bastos" at "imoral" si Vice.
Inireklamo pa sa korte si Vice at ang dyowa nitong si Ion Perez dahil sa "harutan" sa icing ng cake noong Hulyo 25 sa “Isip Bata” segment ng It’s Showtime.
“I feel it’s an overreaction. Yun ang sa akin lang, ha, it’s an overreaction because there are worse things that have been done in television,” pagmamatuwid ni Direk Joey.
“Which can be more criminal in context than eating icing in their fingers, hindi ba?
“So, it’s a sign of the times na ang epekto ng social media sa pag-shape ng opinion ng tao, na kung minsan napapalaki yung dapat ay hindi naman.”
Pati legislators, nakisawsaw sa isyu.
“It’s a bandwagon mentality, e. It’s a bandwagon mentality but I hope, you know, eventually reason will win out, OK,” pahayag ng multi-awarded writer-director.
“I do not exactly approve of what they did. But not to the point of calling it a criminal act!
“Yeah, I mean it’s, maybe, mischievous. It may be out of context, but not to the point of calling it a criminal act.
“And it is so sad that so many people are being involved in it, OK. It’s so sad. In a way, it is unfair to Vice and to his partner.
“But at the same time, it gets to show the kind of society that we are becoming, di ba? And the dangers of social media.”
Maliban kay Vice, pagpupugayan sa closing night ng 3rd PIFM sina Michael V, Eugene Domingo, Ai-Ai deAlas, Tito, Vic & Joey, at ang yumaong Comedy King na si Dolphy.
“Tuloy Pa Rin Ang Tawanan” ang tema ng month-long celebration, kung saan punong abala ang FDCP.

Kahit ano pa ang sabihin ng iba, pararangalan ng FDCP si Vice sa closing night ng 3rd Philippine Film Industry Night. Hindi nila ire-retract ang pag-honor sa Unkabogable Star.
“I mean, whatever accusation is being hurled at their direction, it’s got nothing to do with the achievements that he has done in the past, di ba?” sey ni Direk Joey.
“Because for years, he has been the face of Philippine comedy. And there is no way you can erase that, OK, by a simple act.
“You know, this award is an icing on his cake.”
Sang-ayon ako kay Direk Joey! And excited ako sa iba pang puwedeng gawin ni Vice sa kanyang career!
Sana, matuloy ang mga plano sa kanyang super-promising movie with another icon! Looking forward ako doon!!!

After the movie Patikim-tikim and the four-part anthology Secret Campus, may bagong aabangan kay Direk Joey sa Vivamax.
Ito ay ang pelikulang Cariño Brutal na bida si Apple Dy. Iba ito sa Cariño Brutal (1998) nina Rosanna Roces at Daisy Reyes, sa direksiyon ni Romy Suzara.
Meron din siyang bagong Vivamax series, ang Kalaguyo. Hindi pa napa-finalize ang cast nito.
Kumusta naman iyong na-pitch niyang movie na Larong Daliri?
“Masyadong nabastusan ang Viva sa title. E, meron nga sila… Lunok. Oo, Lunok,” pagsisiwalat ni Direk Joey.
Nilinaw ni Direk Joey na ang Larong Daliri ay walang kinalaman sa mga lesbian. Kuwento ito ng isang manikurista.
