My Girl fever continues to spread in different parts
of the Philippines. The ABS-CBN teleserye starring Kim
Chiu and Gerald Anderson has been cited as the third top weekday program in the
primetime block for the month of May 2008. Based on the NUTAM (Nationwide Urban
Television Audience Measurement) of AGB Nielsen, My Girl received a rating
of 31.1 percent.
To drum up excitement for this program, the My Girl gang goes to different parts of the country for the whole month of June with a series of mall shows, campus tours, and provincial shows.
It all started in Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall where they reportedly made the record of having the largest number of audience members. This was followed by an equally successful mall show in SM Muntinlupa. The cast members of this TV program based on a popular Koreanovela show then made the students in Lyceum University Batangas very happy with their appearance. The Kapamilya stars were also warmly welcomed in SM Clark and SM Sucat.
This Saturday, June 21, Kim and Gerald will be together at the Cebu Fiesta Mall to reunite the Chinese Cutie with her kababayans in her hometown. On Sunday, June 22, the young cast members composed of Kim, Gerald, Enchong Dee, Alex Gonzaga, Nina Jose, Regine Angeles, and David Chua will perform at the Robinson's Mall Imus, Cavite.
In the said mall shows, My Girl's OST, produced by Star Records and ASAP Music, will also be available for the public. This features the songs "Sabihin Mo Na" by Yeng Constantino, "Crazy Love" by Kim Chiu, "My Girl" by Sam Milby, and "Pusong Lito" by Kim Chiu.
