Most brides experience pre-wedding jitters, but not Jolina Magdangal.
"Nae-excite na ako, e! Nae-excite na ako sa buhay ko na yun," the future Mrs. Mark Escueta exclaimed during the press conference of GMA-7's upcoming primetime series Iglot last night, August 23.
Tabloid columnist Allan Diones threw in, "Atat?"
She answered, "Hindi naman. Atat in a good way. Atat na na-e-excite...Kasi, pag nakita mo na pala talaga yung tao, parang magaang yung loob mo."
There's no definite date yet, but according to her, it's not going to be 11-11-11.
Jolina resumed, "Aiming kami for this year. Crossing my fingers, sana ito ay November. Sana...O, sana makasiksik ng December. Pero ang allowance namin, hanggang Feb."
Even the time has to be determined, "Mahirap mag-decide kung kelan talaga lately dahil ang init sa umaga, biglang uulan naman sa gabi..."
But whatever will be the final date—whether 2011 or 2012—her constant prayer is: "Huwag kami sanang ma-stress. Ayoko naman ng ano, wedding day, e, wala na akong buhok.
THE GUEST LIST. There are still a lot of things to be accomplished.
"Kakukuha pa lang namin ng wedding planner," she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
The process, she said, was quite fastidious because, "Gusto ko kasi, hindi yung parang ano ako, yung parang walang-walang alam na kung anong gusto kong theme or kung anong gusto kong mangyayari sa kasal."
Moving on, "Nag-start na kaming mangausap ng mga pupuwedeng supplier. Ganun pala yun, iba-iba. Hindi pala siya yung, 'O, sige siya, okay na siya.' So minsan, kahit sponsor, kahit gustong mag-sponsor, dahil ito ay special day mo, kailangan pala, salain. So, alam mo yun, trim lang nang trim."
Even the guest list has yet "to be trimmed." So far, the two of them came up with "dalawang bond paper, back to back, pero naka-section po yun."
She further explained, "Sabi lang namin ni Mark, 'Isulat mo lahat ng naaalala mo pa kahit nung noon-noon pa...[Tapos], ako rin, nung di pa ako artista...'
"Pero may mga nag-advise po sa amin, may magtatampo at magtatampo.
