Kapamilya teen star Julia Barretto and her mom Marjorie Barretto officially support Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte in the presidential elections this Monday, May 9.
The mother-and-daughter tandem were both seen at Duterte's final miting de avance on Saturday night, May 7, at the Quirino Grandstand at Rizal Park in Manila.
Actress Liza Diño posted on Instagram a selfie with Julia from the miting de avance last night and said the young actress was able to take a selfie with Duterte.
The caption reads: "This girl got lucky last night. she charmed her way through the crowd just for a selfie with our President! I missed you dear @juliabarretto. Happy you got you selfie with tatay Digong. Grab noh, nakakastarstruck talaga sya. #du30 #du302016"
Liza posted another photo of her and Julia, this time with actor Cesar Montano.
Julia also posted a photo on her Instagram account and captioned it with a fist emoji, which is the hand symbol used by Duterte's camp.
In an earlier interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Marjorie said that she was having a hard time deciding on who to vote for president between Sen. Grace Poe and Mayor Duterte.
She said, "There are so many reasons why Poe… silang dalawa, e. I like that she’s very smart, she speaks very well, and decent, di ba?
"I like it naman that Duterte is so strong-willed and parang man of action siya, e. So I really need to hear… when I hear friends na Duterte, I tell them, ‘Okay, tell me why, tell me why.’ I need to be convinced.
"And there’s Poe rin, but there are only two choices."
Marjorie added, "I really pray about it, it’s true, I really pray for it, kasi I really want to make the right decision."
And it seems that Marjorie has made the decision to choose Duterte.
