Wowowee mainstay Pokwang entertains viewers everyday with her funny antics and witty spiels for the said noontime show. For the drama anthology show of ABS-CBN, she will entertain kids to increase sales for her toys.
In the May 23 episode of Maalala Mo Kaya, Pokwang portrays the true-to-life story of a letter sender from Laoag who is abandoned by her husband. The comedienne plays a single mother named Rita (not her real name) who is separated from her kids and forced to pay off the debts of her husband. She manages to make other kids laugh even though her own life is full of pain and sadness.
This MMK episode also marks the return of Pokwang to the acting scene after appearing in the now defunct teleserye Ysabella.

SYNOPSIS. The pregnant Rita (Pokwang) is abandoned by her husband who takes her two older sons and leaves the youngest child with her. Though heartbroken, Rita was able to raise her son and pay her husband's debt by selling toys, thus bringing joy to other children. The single mother was not given the chance to see her other two kids for seven years. When Rita could not bear being separated from her sons, she decided to see one of them in his school. Will Rita be able to patch things up with her son? Will she be able to bring joy to their faces similar to the entertainment that she gives to other children?
